St. Moritz, November 7, 2011 – St. Moritz Match Race, Switzerland’s most important professional yacht racing event, will take place for the tenth consecutive time in 2012. The event has become a milestone in the international yacht racing calendar; it has crowned world class champions such as Ian Williams, Matthieu Richard or Ed Baird. An integral part of the World Match Racing Tour, St. Moritz Match Race 2012 will take place on August 28 – September 2. The regatta will once again reassemble some of the world’s best specialists whilst giving Switzerland’s best teams the opportunity to compare their level with the world elite. Some specific celebrations will take place during the tenth edition of St. Moritz Match Race. It is already time to pencil this date on your agenda!

Welcome to St. Moritz Match Race’s Newsletter. In this edition we look back at St. Moritz Match Race 2011, and remember the best moments of this event. Doesn’t it already seem a long time away? Oh well, it only means that the next edition is coming closer!

The World Match Racing Tour 2011 is also coming to an end, with only one event left until the Grand Finale in Malaysia on November 22-27. We look at who’s in and who’s out of contention for the 2011 World Champion title.

Last but not least, we welcome good news for match racing in Switzerland - with a new women’s team and another event next week - and listen to some testimonies, and good memories, from last summer’s Corviglia Challenge.
